Kelli Bruno is the one-woman band you don't want to miss. Her soulful
voice, thoughtfully crafted accompaniment, and live instrumental looping
deliver powerful moments that make heads delightfully turn towards the stage. Her original music is grounded in folk with flares of indie and pop, while her cover repertoire spans the decades from jazz standards and classic rock, to R&B and today's pop.
A proud New Jersey native, Kelli grew up playing soccer, softball, basketball,
lacrosse, and spent summers "down the shore". Ever since her first piano lesson at the age of five, music has been a transformative force in her life. Kelli has been a member of various choirs, a cappella groups, orchestras, bands, and handbell ensembles which have shaped her into a dynamic vocalist and multi-instrumentalist. She earned BA degrees in film & music from Bucknell University and it was during those undergraduate years that Kelli discovered her true passion for songwriting and performing.
Kelli now resides in Hoboken, NJ and works for the non profit Musicians On Call.
She volunteers with MOC once a month in local hospitals and has become a regular at venues like Rockwood Music Hall, Crossroads, and the infamous Stone Pony in Asbury Park.
Kelli released her debut album Nomahegan in 2018, and her first single Fatass in 2019. You can find her music on all digital streaming services, CD & vinyl.
Kelli's instrumental wheelhouse includes piano, guitar, ukulele, violin, handbells, harmonica, mandolin, cello, and organ (well, she doesn't own an organ - yet). If you'd like to contribute to this collection, drop her a line ;)
